Event Details
As Clery Center reviews institutional policies and annual security reports, we note consistent gaps related to the inclusion of Clery Act requirements in dating violence, domestic violence, sexual assault, and stalking (DVSAS) policies. This webinar will highlight these common challenges and how to address them, including those related to: describing the steps, anticipated timelines, and decision-making processes of all proceedings that address DVSAS incidents in the policy itself as well as the institutional annual security report; describing the intersection of policies addressing DVSAS, including incidents subject to Title IX requirements as well as those that are not and ensuring that rights and options afforded to both student and employee reporting parties are made available across campus policies. During this webinar participants will: Review Clery Act dating violence, domestic violence, sexual assault, and stalking (DVSAS) policy requirements. Identify common gaps in institutional policies for DVSAS. Draft action items for addressing potential gaps in their own institutional policies and communicating about their policies.
Note: This webinar is intended for institutions or individuals that are less familiar with Clery Act requirements in campus dating violence, domestic violence, sexual assault, and stalking policies or are interested in learning about common challenges for other institutions.
