Training topics are selected based upon participants’ questions from previous trainings and technical assistance requests. Among other topics, the training will address the following: strategies for advising clients who are contemplating leaving a jurisdiction with their children; the relationship between civil protection orders that include custody provisions and custody orders that have been issued as part of a custody or divorce case; recent and emerging trends in practice and case law; and personal jurisdiction in protection order cases.
