Agenda at a Glance
Day 1: Difficult Cases / Improving Our Reactions to Sexual Assault Victims One Disclosure at a Time
Join one of our experts in this morning session on Difficult Cases, where you will analyze cases drawn from investigative files of non-stranger sexual assault.
In the afternoon you will learn about Start by Believing, an awareness campaign focused on the public response to sexual assault, because the first person a victim confides in is typically a friend or family member. How they react helps determine whether victims are able to report to law enforcement and access services.
Day 2: Neurobiology and Trauma
Spend the day increasing your understanding of victim behaviors that result from trauma and exploring implications for memory storage and retrieval.
Day 3: Forensic Experiential Trauma Interview (FETI)
