Founded in 1975, the National Organization for Victim Assistance (NOVA) is the oldest national victim assistance organization of its type in the United States and is a recognized leader in victim advocacy, education, and credentialing.
As a technical assistance provider for the Office on Violence Against Women Campus Program, NOVA provides support and assistance to colleges and universities in the following areas:
- Providing training and technical assistance on campus coordinated community response (CCR), including the development and maintenance of CCR teams;
- Developing CCR teams that are inclusive, culturally relevant, and trauma-informed; and
- Building the capacity of CCR teams to enhance the effectiveness and sustainability of prevention and response programs to address sexual assault, domestic violence, dating violence, and stalking on campus.
