Also, traditional “corded” phones are more private than cellular phones or cordless phones.
Statistically, one in three girls and one in six boys will be sexually assaulted by the time they reach the age of 18.
If someone you know tells you that they have been a victim of sexual assault, it is important that they are listened to and believed. Offering to help them find a safe, confidential counselor who can give them information and options can be the first step to healing.

We provide a number of resources available to victims of sexual assault. Our Minor Consent Services protects a minors privacy and does not require parental consent or permission to receive services relating to sexual assault and rape.

State and County Resources
There are safe and confidential places throughout California to find help. Rape Crisis Centers exist in almost every county in the state. Trained counselors are available 24 hours a day 7 days a week, ready to listen and offer information and support. Many Rape Crisis Centers offer individual therapy, support groups, and other services. Should a victim choose to report the crime to police, there are counselors who will accompany them in making the initial report, through medical examinations, and throughout criminal court proceedings.
